How Do You Determine the Best Countertop for Your Remodeling Project?

With over 1800 stone choices for countertops, your material and design options are limitless. Take a moment to consider your countertop needs, and let us do the rest!

1. Quartz

Quartz countertops are made by mixing crushed quartz stone with resin to produce a tough, durable product. If you’re harsh on your countertops, this is the selection for you that won’t chip, crack, or stain. If price is an object, use caution at $40 – $100 per square foot.

2. Granite

Granite is crack-resistant and lasts a lifetime when cared for properly by sealing annually. This option isn’t unbreakable and can be unpredictable as it is a natural stone with variations. At $40 – $100 per square foot, this can be pricey, but it offers undeniable quality and beauty.

3. Solid Surface

Solid-surface countertops are made from a variety of materials including acrylic, polyester resin, and marble dust. The nonporous surface doesn’t require special treatment, and scratches can be sanded out. This is similar pricing to granite and quartz at $35 – $100 per square foot.

4. Laminate

Laminate countertops are constructed with paper-plastic composite with a resin to be versatile in color and pattern options. This is a great option to replicate wood or granite without the expense or upkeep of natural materials at $10 – $40 per square foot.

5. Tile

Tile countertops are one of the least expensive countertop options at $5 – $30 per square foot, offering a varying look with different colors, cuts, and textures. Unfortunately, if you’re looking for a smooth surface for baking, this isn’t your best option.
